The NAA Community integrated a new functionality this week, to help make forum participation via email even easier. The change will allow email users to reply to post authors individually, rather than posting a response to the entire forum. We expect this change to make participating in the Community's forums a more effective and convenient process.
There are a few changes that go along with this new system that you should be aware of, so that you can continue to use the forums without a problem.
- A change in the way your email notifications are addressed. The "To" field will soon show your email address, with the forum email address in the "CC" field.
You will also notice that the "From" field shows the post author's name, with the forum email address shown in brackets. This signifies that the email has been sent as a post notification from the NAA Community, and was not sent by an individual user.
- Clicking "Reply" from an email notification will now allow you to respond to the original poster, rather than to all forum participants. The author's email address will be automatically placed in the "To" field of your message, and your response will be delivered directly to their email inbox. You will still be able to post a response to the whole forum by clicking "Reply All". As with "Reply," the author's email address will be automatically entered in th "To" field, but the forum email address will be placed in the "CC" field as well. Your response will be posted to the forum in the Community, and all subscribed participants will receive en email notification. The original post author will receive a copy of the message directly from you as well.
- Forum email addresses will change, so you will need to update your address books accordingly. The new email addresses will change only the domain name, replacing @naa.org with @e-forum.naa.org. Users who did not adopt the @naa.org email convention when the Community launched in September will also need to update their address books at this time, as some of the forum names were altered at launch. Replying to Forum Posts from Within the NAA Community
Please note that there has been no change to the functionality of the forums when participating from within the NAA Community. When inside the Community, clicking "Reply to All" 
will post your response to the whole forum; to respond to the original poster individually, click "Contact" 
to either send the user an email or use the Community's "Private Messaging" feature.
