    mediaXchange 2011
    March 25-28, 2011
    Dallas, TX

NAA introduced mediaXchange as the annual event to bring newspaper executives together with peers; experts from the newspaper media and other industries; and the Associate Members who offer products, services and partnerships to support the business.

A key element is The eXchange:
Exchange (n), a marketplace for ideas, products and services to be offered and received, often limited to members.*

Over 80 NAA Associate member companies support mediaXchange. These companies commit time, capital and energy to develop products and services for the industry and The eXchange is their annual showcase.

More than a traditional exhibit hall, The eXchange features new ideas and partnerships, as well as a means to maintain longstanding relationships.
A combination of advance planning and serendipity can work together to help you identify resources for growth and success at your newspaper media company.

    Advance Planning

The mediaXchange online floor plan and directory offers profiles for all participating companies – you can search by company name, keyword, or product category. Click to open detailed company profiles, and email to send inquiries or set appointments.

The mediaXchange program will be available hard-copy with your registration materials, and online as an e-edition. This is your best resource to review exhibitor information and make plans to visit many during the three days of The eXchange.

Each day, social events are held in The eXchange – Landmark Ballroom. See below for details. These meals and social functions are included in your registration, and provide a great time to visit exhibitors and network informally.

Beyond the social events, The eXchange is open all day – for your list of “must see” exhibitors. Time between sessions, or when there is not a breakout of interest, is well spent getting the latest ideas from the industry.

    Serendipity

With dozens of first time exhibitors, new products and services from long time industry partners and representatives working with many companies in and outside the newspaper media business, you are sure to pick up ideas and start relationships if you make the time. Try to allow at least an hour each day to visit companies in The eXchange, take ideas back home to your colleagues, and thank our Associate Members for investing time, and financial resources, to make NAA mediaXchange a great event.

A few minutes of your time and a sincere “thanks for being here” make a big difference!

Event sponsors make a significant difference in the quality and quantity of speakers, meals, events and amenities at NAA mediaXchange – they will be wearing white SPONSOR ribbons on their badges, please give them an extra Thank You.

Join Hall of Fame former Dallas Cowboy Randy White to kick-off the begining of mediaXchange 2011!

At 6-4, 265 pounds and one of the strongest (bench presses 501 pounds) and toughest (111 career sacks) defensive tackles ever to play the game, Randy White was dubbed "Manster- part-man and part-monster" by teammate Charlie Waters.  Opposing quarterbacks, who unsuccessfully scrambled to avoid his reckless abandon, were quick to understand why. During Randy's 14 year tenure with the World Champion Dallas Cowboys, he was selected All Pro 8 times, was a Pro Bowl selection 9 times and played in 3 Super Bowls.  After his outstanding performance in Super Bowl XII, he was selected as a Super Bowl MVP, a coveted honor bestowed to less than 45 players in the history of the NFL. Sponsored by Athlon Media

    Advertiser Update: Advertiser Roundtables!
    Advertising Roundtables
    Saturday, March 26, 2011
    3:30 PM - 5:15 PM

The Advertising Roundtables are your opportunity to meet face-to-face with many of your largest customers.  It's your opportunity to give these important customers your latest market data brochure and share any new programs and developments in your market.  It's also your opportunity to learn what's being planned in their company . . . what are their priorities.

The format is simple and productive. A large room is set with tables and an advertiser is at each table. Each table seats 10 people. You can move from table to table to listen to advertiser needs, plans, changes and to ask questions about strategy and thinking. The information you can take from this session alone will pay for your investment in mediaXchange.

The eXchange: Products, Services, Partnerships and Solutions for the newspaper media industry.
Over thirty companies have already committed to participate at mediaXchange 2011 as exhibitor and sponsors. Offering a wide range of products, services and business models, long time industry suppliers will be present alongside many new and first time participants.

The eXchange will be primarily in the Landmark Ballrooms, along with many of the social and meal functions for attendees and exhibitor representatives. From the Opening Reception Friday evening March 25 through the closing Reception with Exhibitors Sunday, mediaXchange attendees can get new ideas, consider products and services to support and grow their business and nurture both new and long term relationships with key industry suppliers. To review the participating companies, their services and begin to make appointments to maximize time at The eXchange, use the interactive directory and floorplan.
